The Gospel

1 Corinthians 15:1-6

"Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you-- unless you believed in vain.

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that He was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then He appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.  Then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles."

This is the message we receive which brings salvation when we come to the Lord with a repentent heart.  Believe and you will be saved from an eternal existence separated from God and today will live in relationship with Him.

What is eternal life anyway? Eternal life is to know the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent (John 17:3).  Do you know the Lord?  If you know Him then God Himself confirms this truth in your heart allowing you to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior.

Will you place your faith in Jesus Christ today?  Read the Scripture for yourself.  Reread it again.  Are these words true?  Remember, these words were penned with over 500 people having seen Jesus Christ alive after His death.  It was not just one person in a room; in the desert or in a room saying they saw Jesus.  Yes, the power of God is at work to destroy the works of darkness and the devil in your life.
